What To Bring

Overnight Camps

CLOTHING:
note : AVOID COTTON CLOTHING! Wool, fleece, or nylon clothing is better when wet.
Rain gear hooded rain jacket and rain pants.
3 pr. Pants wool or synthetic. Jeans for sitting around the fire.
2 Sweaters / Sweatshirts  
Warm Hat MANDATORY
Boots & Shoes one pair of each, keep runners dry for camp
Socks lots, as they are all likely to get wet
Shorts  
T-shirts one shirt per day
Towel  
Warm jacket Note that this jacket is additional to rain gear jacket.

 

CAMPING EQUIPMENT:

Sleeping bag Winter grade sleeping bag or 3 season plus extra blanket.
Sleeping mat Foam or Thermal mats are great. Air mattresses are useless if they develop a leak.
Water bottle bicycle bottle, plastic pop bottles.
Toiletries Toothbrush, paste, floss, hairbrush, biodegradable soap, no shampoo
Flashlight with fresh batteries
Sunglasses Mandatory protection from the sun and reflective glare off the water.
Sunscreen spf 15 minimum
Garbage bags 2 For waterproofing gear.
Medications If required. Medic Alert tags for allergies! Bee kit, asthma puffer.
