Park Office & Campground Registration; full time, Jun to
Sep. $11 - $12.50 / hr.
Deliver office excellence in a park setting.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will check-in
guests and operate a computer reservation system. Respond to park
front desk inquiries and run a small concession store with canoe / kayak rentals.
You maintain vital communications by cell phone and portable
radios. Provide emergency response if required, make daily bike runs through
the campground and a host of other
"outdoor missions".
PLUS All the swimming, hiking,

Campground
Maintenance and Security - full time, Jun. to Sep. $11
- $13 / hr
Act
as Park Ranger and camping caretaker in a busy waterfront
campground. Working under a Campground Manager, your goal is
to create a safe and clean camping environment that meets or
exceeds government standards and client expectations.
Involving a mix of janitorial, park maintenance, public
relations, enforcing park regulations, first-aid, security
and operating a small camp store. Friendly interactions with
campers and staff on
a daily basis. This demanding position requires
a person or couple who is reliable and mature.
Successful Applicants will possess the following:

Valid first aid
certificate

Driver's
licence and own transportation required

ability
to smile in the face of adversity and handle conflict in
a positive manner.

Previous
experience in carpentry and small engine repair an asset

Ability
to troubleshoot and solve problems with little or no
supervision

HORNE LAKE CAVES PROVINCIAL PARK
Cave Guide / Park Operator - Full time - May to Sept.
$10.25 to
$12.50 / hr.
Lead guided cave tours including school geology programs and
family tours in Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park. Respond to park visitors requests for information
or assistance. Park Operator duties include enforcing the
Park Act and park maintenance duties. Provide first aid and
emergency response. Must pass Cave Guide certification course.
“High Adventure” Cave Guide - Full time
- May to Sept. $13 to $18 / hr.
This position includes all regular cave guide duties but also
offers the opportunity to lead 5 hour vertical caving
expeditions. Must also instruct outdoor climbing and rappelling
clinics for groups and families. Must have documented experience
and training in climbing / rescue. Must obtain Vertical Cave
Guide Certification.
Visitor Centre Staff Full time - July to Sept. $11 to
$13 / hr.
Operate provincial park Visitor Centre and coordinate guided tour scheduling.
Greet and inform park visitors. Equipment
rentals, retail sales, and recording stats. Liaison with BC
Parks, guiding staff, and park volunteers. Minor park maintenance
and Park Act enforcement. Provide first aid and emergency
response.

HORNE LAKE OUTDOOR CENTRE
Camp Counsellor / Instructor Full time position
- May to Oct. $85 - $125 per day
Conduct School Adventure Camp programs for children aged 8
- 17. Will also lead school groups on various outdoor education
programs ranging from 2 to 3.5 hours per session. Water and
land based activities include rappel training, top rope climbing,
cave exploring, canoeing, orienteering, wilderness navigation
& survival, team games, nature crafts, and campfire stories
and songs. Canoe Instructor or Lifeguard certification definitely
an asset. Additional training provided for Outdoor Center
Instructors

preferred.
