PROGRAM CHOICES OR COMBINATIONS:
Welcome to "EarthCamp"...
Don't you wish your classroom looked like this?
Would
you like to protect the environment?
Do
you think that humankind needs to find ways to reduce its dependence on natural resources and minimize human impact on the
Earth?

they need to take steps towards finding a solution. We are committed to fostering an appreciation for nature and demonstrating the principles of stewardship and sustainable alternatives for our future decision-makers through EarthCamp.

EarthCamp:
School Curriculum Programs
Our EarthCamp Programs have
been designed to tie directly into the Ministry of Education Prescribed
Learning Outcomes; they are exciting, hands-on, and
experiential in every way. These
curriculum activities combine really well with our Adventure
Based Learning programs and can add great value to your visit.
Each grade has specific needs that can be met through EarthCamp. We have
chosen topics that teachers find difficult to teach in a
classroom setting, such as identification of rock families,
ecosystem functioning, and environmental impacts. It was also
expressed by teachers that leadership, personal growth, and
group initiatives are an important part of learning throughout
the upper primary and middle school levels. Therefore,
programs for grades 5-7 offer a combination of educational,
reflective, and task oriented activities that are meant to
inspire as well as educate; all with a hands-on approach to
outdoor learning. Students
will leave EarthCamp with ideas for action that they can initiate in their home
or school as well as a better understanding of west coast
environments.
For
Spring 2008, we are excited to offer EarthCamp
programs at a discounted rate... only $12/ student!
