Adventure and Ecotourism have become one of the fastest growing industries on Vancouver Island. For 14 years, Island Pacific Adventures Ltd. has been providing quality outdoor education and fun at Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park, located one hour drive from Courtenay or Nanaimo. Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park - Work Experience Program

Our company is under contract to the B.C. Government to operate and maintain HORNE LAKE CAVES PROVINCIAL PARK which includes providing Park Rangers and guides. We also conduct a variety of Cave Interpretation Programs including underground family cave tours and vertical rope instruction in a wild cave environment. In addition, we operate a School Adventure Camp with outdoor education programs that take place in and around the Provincial Park. Courses in rappelling instruction, Canoe skills, and Wilderness Survival have been excellent additions to our new Teepee Camp.

Island Pacific Adventures Ltd.  conducts week-long practicums for students seeking leadership training and work experience. Work with and learn from some of the best guides in the industry. This program will develop a wide variety of skills working as an Assistant Guide and keeping up with the day to day operations. A limited number of spaces are available through our Mentorship Program. Students will be provided with a campsite for the 7 day stay. Students must supply their own camping gear, food, and come equipped with an unsinkable attitude.
